SUMMARY:2nd Workshop on Tritium Transport Modelling in Nuclear Fission and Fusion
DESCRIPTION:Tritium is of decisive importance for nuclear technology.\nThe scarcity of this isotope and its radioactive nature make controlling its behaviour through the use of modelling tools essential for safety. Moreover\, tritium plays the role of fuel in nuclear fusion which presents a challenge for real-time control and self-sufficiency prediction that can only be managed with modelling tools. The project TITANS (Tritium Impact and Transfer in Advanced Nuclear ReactorS) is a 3-year multidisciplinary project that contributes to improve the knowledge on tritium management in fission and fusion facilities. SUMMARY:TITANS Thrid Annual Consortium Meeting in Spain
DESCRIPTION:Partners of the TITANS project will be gathering both online and in person on the 09-11 October 2024\, at the Centre for Energy\, Environmental and Technological Research (CIEMAT)\, in Madrid\, Spain.\n\nThe first day will kick-off with a welcome and introduction to the project by project coordinator\, Elodie Bernard\, from the French Atomic Energy and Alternative Energies Commission (CEA). They will then dive into technical discussions and brainstorming sessions on specific topics which will be identified prior to the meeting. \nThe Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) members will also be attending the Consortium meeting\, providing feedback and recommendations for the project’s continuation.
